About J and Kinder Racing
Kinder Racing is a family owned operation. Funded by
J's parents, the team has to work off of what is available
and have fun doing it. Kinder Racing has been around
for a many years, if you have been to any 360 sprint car
races in central Missouri, you have more than likely
seen the familiar blue and yellow 88 racing around the
track.
J is a third generation driver in the Kinder family. His
Grandpa and Dad raced go karts for many years. In
1988, J's dad, Jim bought the first sprint car in the
Kinder family. Jim had a few different drivers over the
years and had a lot of success. As J and his sister
Amanda got older, it was obvious that racing was going
to be carried on for another generation. J and Amanda
started racing go karts in 1993 at local Missouri tracks.
J was 11 when he started racing karts. He had a lot of
success racing karts and learned a lot of driving skills
along the way.
In 1999, Jim brought home J's first sprint car. During
the 2000 racing season, J won his first feature win in
only his eighth race out. He ended up third in points
and earned Rookie of the Year at Double X Speedway in
California, MO. His success was brought on by help
from his family and friends who were a part in
everything he did. Even though J was a rookie driver,
he had help from his father who had owned a sprint car
for five years. Jim coached J on how to be smooth and
go fast. He also learned a great deal from Randy Martin,
a Knoxville points champion, and driving legend Bill Utz
who was racing at Double X at the time.
As of right now, J has raced in the 360 and 305 winged
sprint car classes. He is hoping one day to get a
chance to race a midget or full size non winged car.
Due to the budget that Kinder Racing is on, it is only a
one car team right now and they are looking for anyone
who would like to contribute to the team.
